Seriously? 4 months? Really? Well, ya can't rush these things, I guess. Lucky hasn't lost any weight.. he's gained a pound, actually. Was gonna give up on the diet, but decided to try one more time. I chatted with one of the owners, and decided to upgrade him to 'medium', and cut out 1/2 of the rice. The only improvement, is that he smells good. If he doesn't start loosing weight, he'll be twice the size he was when we found him - and that's not good!

DLSarmywife said...: I totally understand your frustration. Zeus quit eating it after about 3 weeks. So we're back to regular dog food, although he mainly gets canned food and the moist and meaty. He doesn't much care for the dry kibble any more. And these days at 13, I'm willing to give him what ever he is willing to eat. Good luck with the 2nd go 'round! :-); May 16, 2012 at 4:57 PM

Coconut Fudge

This is a pic of the fudge I actually made.

2/3 cup evaporated milk
3/4 cup margerine
3 cups sugar
12 oz. white chips
4 cups mini marshmallows (NOT fluff)
1 tsp vanilla
2/3 tsp coconut extract
1 2/3 cups shredded coconut

Cook milk, margerine and sugar until it comes to a rolling boil. Continue boiling for 5 minutes, stirring constantly. Remove from heat, stir in chips, then marshmallows. When 1/2 melted, add vanilla and coconut flavors. Stir til melted completely. Or, if you wish, throw in a handful of chips a few minutes after it's all melted. Blend in coconut. Put in greased 10x15 pan. Be sure to store in an airtight container (does not need to be put in fridge) so it stays moist. This makes quite a bit of fudge, but I guarentee you, it will not be wasted.
